Some of us are going to see Avatar tonight at the Maui Mall. Everyone's welcome to join. Meet at 6pm for food at the Thai place in the mall across from the theater:

We'll head in at 7:15 for the 7:30 show. Email me if you'd like me to save you a seat for dinner or in the theater. I'll be getting tickets before 6.

RT for Friend from Silicon Valley:

RT "Andy Stack is looking for a developer to help create a simple OpenSocial/MySpace app this week. Remote working is totally cool. Know anyone? Thanks!"

Not sure that discussion forum entries make it to all the Maui Tech Hui members, so I am posting here a pointer to check out the discussion of today's Maui TechOhana lunch at the Maui Research and Technology Park at 11:30. See http://techohana.com.

Hello Maui Techhuians,

I'm from Maui, and am hoping to move back and work there. I don't know if this is the right forum, so forgive me if it's not :)

I'm a C/Java/RoR programmer, with a strong background in Unix and Unix Administration. I'm currently interested in doing Ruby on Rails projects, and learning how to program the Mac. If anyone knows of anything going on, or even just wants to create something, I'd be really interested! I'll be on Maui for a visit from the 11th for about a week. Please feel free to contact me if you have work, or even just program.

PS my res (bit dated) is at http://docs.google.com/View?id=ddjbpzbq_14crkr5qgs

There's a small sheltered cove at entrance of water. There are no facilities. Bring water & snacks. http://dynamics.org/tinyurl/TurtleTown.html

Please note the time & location.

I'm on mainland adventure travel for the next three weeks (Orlando! Tucson! Ft. Huachuca!) and it's painful to be missing these great activities. Please do keep posting here... I hope to join some after I'm back in early December.
