Aloha,

SKYWARN is a nationwide network of volunteer weather spotters, trained by National Weather Service (NWS) personnel, who report hazardous weather to local NWS offices.

NOAA Meteorologist Anthony Reynes from Oahu will be teaching a free 2-hour certification class where you’ll learn basic atmospheric dynamics, cloud, wind and precipitation types, and the key things to look for that signal dangerous weather conditions.

For more information or to sign up, visit  http://tinyurl.com/of7spu8

The same class will be offered 3 times at different locations-

   Fri.  Nov. 6: 6-8PM Kahului

   Sat.  Nov. 7: 10AM-Noon Kihei

   Sat. Nov. 7: 2-4PM Pukalani

I’ve been through the training several times and always learn something new. Please consider attending if you are interested. Thanks!
