"Help" For Computer Files: I'm working my way through some tutorials learning Android application development. The documentation is pretty good. One of things they describe in the very first tutorial is the layout of the directory hierarchy for the project, plus defining a number of the files you should expect to see in those directories. All well and good. So, I'm thinking: EVERY directory and EVERY file on my computer should have the option for including a descriptor field. Thus, in addition to the standard Open, Delete, Copy, etc. that you get when you right-click on a directory or file you would also see "Descriptor" (or maybe it would be under the Properties item) and when you select that Descriptor a window come up that provides a nice description of what this file represents. Maybe it could even include a link to web page for further information. In the case of my learning Android development, when I'm later working on some Android project and perusing the project's files and I forget what some file is used for, I could just right-click and select the Descriptor item and it would tell me about it, and I wouldn't have to try to find the place in the tutorial or in my various books or search for it out on the Internet. It would be right there with the file itself.

Yes, I know. It will never happen. Just wishful thinking.

I realized after sending the newsletter than I should have mentioned the Venture Accelerator bill passing. Karl Fooks, the legislators who voted for the bill and all the people who supported Karl via testimony and other means deserve credit for championing Hawaii's innovation economy. Thank you!

Thanks for joining! This page will be another way for everyone involved with WWW to get updates, network, and discuss hot button topics in Hawaii's tech industry. Additionally, we will post notes from the core group meeting (event organizers/stakeholders) to this page for discussion, so keep your eyes peeled!
