I no longer work for NASA, but rather for the US Air Force (still in satellite orbit work). However, NASA Maes Research Center has signed a collaborative venture with the state of Hawaii. There were talks about having a SpacePort on Kauai I believe.

Some people from Hawaii are born with a preference for cold weather. I suppose I took it to an extreme in choosing to live out here in Hokkaido, Japan. When I was in high school in Honolulu, I would often cut class and hang out in the frozen food section in Safeway.
