Save the date of Saturday, Feb 25, 2012 for the next Unconferenz 2012. This year we are holding it at the lovely campus of Kapiolani Community College. Please feel free to make suggestions for session topics here. As details unfold, I will post them here and at Unconferenz.com.
The Unconferenz mantra is to Invent : Inspire : Innovate. It's a grassroots Technology/Internet gathering of individuals across the community to foster sharing and interaction amongst its participants. The Unconferenz is really what you make it. Feel free to join the conversation and help develop the next Unconferenz.

Does anyone know of any technology conferences coming up in Hawaii? I would like to attend as either a guest speaker or as an attendee/ Please email me and let me know.

Great Dan, anyway we can convince her of doing it at Unconferenz 2012?
Prof. Kim Binsted was going to do an Ignite presentation at TechHui but her schedule didn't vibe. She does interesting work, and I'm sure she would be an excellent presenter.
Great Ken, you're the first. What will you talk on? Brushbots?
Burt, sign me up for that ignite session! I got a fun and perhaps useful topic.

Aloha Collaborators! Although I am currently in Japan doing the internship portion of my MBA and can't physically attend Unconferenz 2012 I am looking forward to the energy generated. I'm hoping there will be a lot of live tweeting that I can follow ;)
I recently started a collaboration consulting firm, Hawaii Collaborators, that will first be focusing on the agriculture sector and developing a specialty tea industry. We utilize the Knowledge Management methodology to create trust between different parties that lead to productive collaboration. One of my partners will be attending Unconferenz 2012 so I submitted an idea on uservoice. The idea is very broad and can apply to just about everything and may tackle many of the problems that we have been speaking about recently such as civil engagement, open source, and coworking. Please see my idea, Social Innovation, if it is not discussed at Unconferenz I would love to discuss it in another forum or upon my return to Hawaii in late-April.
We are having an Ignite session at Unconferenz 2012. If you got the chops and the preso, please let me know and we can include you in the list. 20 slides, 15 seconds each slide. Presentation is pau in 5 minutes.
Mika & Burt:
Would it be possible to telecast Live the UnConferenz for those of us that wish to view the events, but could not make it? For example via Skype or WEB CAM?
Also, would interactive Telecast be possible, to ask questions during the Q&A sessions?
Mahalo,
Rubén
