I am the Director of Mobile Application Development at Archinoetics, LLC. (archinoetics.com) I also freelance as a web designer, developer, and iPhone app designer/developer. (dotestudios.com)
Previously I worked at Apple until late 2008. I joined Apple in early 2004 working simultaneously on .Mac (membership based service with over a million members -- the precursor to MobileMe) and iTunes. In my early days at Apple, I was part of the iTunes Europe launch, the first version of Motion (Apple's motion graphics application), and various .Mac services.
In 2005 I was promoted to management, leading the .Mac User Interface Engineering team. My team was a key part of many successful .Mac launches. In 2007 I was a key member of the team that wrote some of the first web applications for the iPhone launch. I'm a co-applicant on four patents pending from this work. In the summer of 2007, I led the team in the successful launch of the .Mac Web Gallery for the iPhone and desktop.
Prior to joining Apple in 2004, I worked at Incyte Corporation as the lead web developer. I also worked as a web application developer at Cisco Systems in 2001 and Northpoint Communications in 2000.
Born in Honolulu, I earned my BA Zoology degree from the University of Hawaii and my MS Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University. I currently live in Manoa, Hawaii.
Wow, Brian, I just read through your website and the strength of the testimonials is amazing. I'm putting together a mobile app and am looking at using javascript for much of the UI rather than going native and you seem like the guy to talk to understand what is possible. Would it be possible to sit down and talk with you sometime?
Aloha Brian, thank you for your interest. I can e-mail you an invitation to our survey through Surveymonkey. What e-mail would you prefer me to use?
