Well, Amazon is dropping a heavy fist to see if people will rally and get this bill vetoed.
Since this affect EVERY online retailer (all of whom use affiliate networks to sell their products) they will now lose more tax revenue doing the exact oppo…
Well, it is unconstitutional. (Taxation without representation, hell they don't technically have a presence here to benefit from services).
However, the main issue is that for all companies that have affiliates within the state all sales made to th…
I am worried that a bill like this, if modified could soon affect revenue generated through third-party affiliate advertising. A shift from physical to ethereal.
We did very well with referral sales for our NYT Bestseller. And I am upset that this…
Move. Or set up an out of state entity.
IANAL + IANACPA, but this is just ridiculous.
What next tax online-revenue in addition to payroll and personal income?
Alex, I have been looking for a good solution to Health Insurance since we found out my wife was pregnant.
I had been on Cobra and then transitioned to an extended plan with my previous employer's insurance (HMSA, 2007). I was paying about 380$ a m…

My initial guess was that a company like Amazon would push the cost onto the Affiliates. However after reading links from Troy the full implications would mean that ALL Hawaii purchases would be taxed if they pay ANY one to generate leads via Affili…

Yeah sweetcron being based in Codeigniter might limit customization to people who understand the framework and php. Probably a higher learning curve than tweaking around wordpress. Yet, that is what excited me because I work with the Codeigniter every now and then.
I think given that he just released it and its still in beta, plugins and additional themes will be coming along. Techcrunch used it for one of their sites and I noticed sweetcron being used by a few other sites in the past week. Hopefully the following will grow and some of the shortcomings right now will be improved. For now, its just funny to see yong's default photo on everyone's blog b/c they are either too lazy or don't know how to replace the photo.

Hey Eric, noticed you are using sweetcron for your lifestream. How do you like it? I always like the stuff that yongfook makes. Really talented guy. I'm messing around with the layout right now for my own blog/lifestream.
Anyway just wanted to say welcome and maybe I'll see you at one of the co-working meets.
