Next time I want to visit Imbe and other pottery places. I've never been to Izumo-ken.

Izumo is best known for Izumo Taisha. Its is the oldest and largest Shinto shrine. Its believed that all the kami (gods) gather in Izumo shrine once a year. Other interesting places in Shimane-ken include Matsue Castle and the Adachi Art Museum. The Adachi garden is rated as the best in Japan.

Folks, in case any of you were fishing for a new opportunity, you might consider our Master's in Library & Information Science at UH Manoa. There is demand for people with tech skills in a library environment. UH is the only LIS school that actually is part of an Information and Computer Science Department. Check us out!

Welcome Dr. Drew! I enjoyed reading your blog. You have some great photos of Kyoto. Do you travel to Japan often?
