Well, it puts events on a big list that you can subscribe to the rss feed of, but it does seem lame.

Hi Folks - sounds like a fun time. For the record - I'm a big fan of Saigon Cafe too... but alas - I am in Palo Alto now...

Michiko started a new job with Google last week... :)

I'm in for Thursday. Asian Star sounds great. Did they move?

I second Amber's recommendation.

Ok Techies, lets do this - thursday april 29. The Wailuku places sound good to me - I have not explored that part of the island yet. Other centrally located eateries are also an option that might bring out more people than Paia.
Time - 6pm work for those with jobs?

I recommend you try Asian Star on Wili Pa Loop in Wailuku. The owner is Jennifer's (owner of Saigon Place not to be mistaken for Saigon Palace, a hostess bar) cousin. The food is the same but much quieter and will accommodate larger groups better. Jason, the owner, is a character. If you meet during lunch time, you'll risk seeing Mayor Tavares eating lunch with her partner there.

For authentic Korean food, try JB's on Lower Main in Wailuku. It used to be the Yakiniku. Sunny the owner is an amazing chef/cook. She also has a lot of personality. Ask for the Korean food menu; otherwise, they'll hand you the local food menu if you don't look and act Asian from Asia.
