I'm starting to get more serious about creating a maker space in maui. I grabbed the domain and started a blog at http://www.mauimakers.com/blog. One post is what I submitted to Dave F for the HiFi Maui (google fiber) proposal.

I hope we can do more gatherings as well. My parents arrived on island yesterday, so I couldn't make it over to Paia.

On the "getting the message text with the update" issue, I've asked Daniel Leuck about that, and it's an issue with Ning (which hosts this community). They want the traffic to the site, so they require you to click-through. You'd think if Facebook could make the leap to providing the text (which they do), that Ning could follow suite -- hopefully they will at some point.

Yes, Flatbread's noisy but there's a meeting room at the top that can be reserved in the afternoon and maybe in the evening.

Ben and I had a great 1:1 conversation. Sorry more couldn't make it. We got some looks w just two at a big table but, hey we were talkin big ideas!
Reichart- I know what u mean about noise and wishing forum updates included the text. Not sure of better location or how to fix the forum. Latter is a software problem! :-)
