I have a commitment early tomorrow evening, so will not make Iron Man--if there is a second group that would be interested in the Tuesday evening slot, maybe we could have a second group (and others could come & see it again). Is there a website for the Maui Matsuri festival?
By the way, the Maui Matsuri Kick-Off is tomorrow evening from 6:30p-9p at the Kaahumanu Mall. Free show and open to all. Next Friday night is free movies at MCC hosted by the Maui Matsuri. And the Matsuri (Japanese cultural festival) is next Saturday at MCC. All are free and open to all.
Calling all questionably employed geeks! Tomorrow (Friday) is our chance to shine -- the opening of Iron Man II at the Maui Mall. Current plan is to storm Whole Foods at 3pm, establishing a geek beachhead under the umbrellas. (Or under Reichart, if the umbrellas are too short.) Then we can catch the 4:15pm show. Since it's a weekday matinee, the tickets are discounted and it should be a little less crowded. Email me (gar@lisi.org) if you want to and you think you'll make it, or just show up. For those of you with real jobs, I'm deeply sorry. But, you know, you have an income, so maybe you can catch a later show -- if you can muster the energy.

Live, from Google I/O!
Thursday, May 06, 2010
More than 4,000 developers will be joining us at Google I/O on May 19-20, and if we had the capacity, we’d host many more. In order to give the entire developer community a chance to participate live, we're happy to announce that both keynote presentations will be streamed live. To watch, just go to http://www.youtube.com/GoogleDevelopers at the start of the keynotes each day. We recommend watching on a high-speed connection for the best quality.
Here’s the schedule for the keynotes at I/O — it’s also available on our agenda page:
Day 1 Keynote: Wednesday, May 19, 9:00 -10:30am PT
Day 2 Keynote: Thursday, May 20, 8:30-10:00am PT
Both keynote sessions feature exciting new technologies, so be sure to mark your calendars!

Take out, catering or even potluck would be fine with me as long as there is connectivity.

Likewise great to talk with, meet new people and see friends. Thanks David for offering MRTC, count me in for potluck and a monthly frequency. I will also offer my offices and conference room but they wouldn't hold that much more than last nights crew.
