Comment by Daniel Leuck on December 4, 2012 at 6:01pm Then your best bet is a school. UH Manoa and KCC sometimes host meetups like this, especially if they provide an opportunity for students to attend and mix with industry. You need to find a friendly professor in a related field. There are numerous ICS and Engineering profs in the TechHui community. I'd poke around in the members area.
UHM and KCC don't have the greatest parking situation, but they have everything else you listed.
Another possibility is the Manoa Innovation Center. They have a classroom and may be willing to host something like this. There is plenty of street parking around MIC. HTDC's (the agency that manages MIC) director is Yuka Nagashima.
Comment by Roger Garrett on December 4, 2012 at 5:27pm I forgot to include "free" in the list of requirements. Our club is strictly a volunteer effort and we charge no dues, so there's little to no money to pay to rent a space. The Box Jelly charges $100 per hour.
Comment by Daniel Leuck on December 4, 2012 at 4:12pm Hi Roger - Its hard to find all those things in one place locally. For everything other than the classroom environment I would try TheBoxJelly. They host many tech events, meetups, etc.
Comment by Roger Garrett on December 4, 2012 at 2:21pm Our club needs a meeting place. Ideally it has a classroom environment, access to electric and Internet, is easily accessible, has plenty of free parking, and is available on a regular monthly basis. Anyone having any suggestions please let us know.
