I have a question I saw this, which was on this group, but I can't find it:
A message from Jason Skicewicz to all members of Android on TechHui!
I'm working on a project that requires a kick ass Android developer. Are there any professional shops that do Android development on island, or any independent contractors looking for some work with potential long term work? We'd prefer find someone local instead of sending our money off island.
I have a friend in Brazil who is an award winning Android Developer, he just won a FWA award for a iPad app called MOD.
I know is is in Brazil, but he is fantastic with Android & iOS
Greetings All. My Amazon Fire should arrive tomorrow. I'll post a review ASAP.
Best Regards,

Yes, 3.x is (and will only be) for tablets. 4.x is supposed to see a merge of the platforms, phone and tablet running the same OS.
Native language is java, running on top of a custom JVM (Davlik), the source of a certain lawsuit at the moment between Oracle and Google.
can I ask Android 3.x (currently 3.2 is the latest I think) are for tablets, and version 2,2 and 2.3 are for phones. I am a flash developer, I just joined the Android market place.
I have the Motorola Atrix 4G, what a cool phone :)
thanks!
Johnny
