Pamela Fox formerly of Google Developer Relations may visit Maui in May...

Pamela fox has offered to come to one of our dinners to talk with us before she teaches her HTML5 class on Oahu.  She's really smart, fun, and quite interesting.

She has suggested that any of her talks she could give to us, is there a preference?

A few she suggested are here, but take a look at the full list:

Google App Engine/Datastore

Google APIs A-Z

Google Client-side APIs  (ie. JavaScript - Maps, Fonts, etc.)

Any preferences?

First week in May, she is presenting a workshop on Oahu on May 8, so I was thinking either 5/3 or 5/5.

Thats a big list (in link) even ignoring all the Google Wave talks.

I'll have to look longer although the A-Z overview looks most interesting to me as introduction.

I would like to suggest we find a different venue from Flatbread for this. It is way too noisy for a good talk. Perhaps a more formal dinner/talk setting or separate the dinner from talk completely.

We can get that room quiet if we need to, but let's first reach a consensus on what we'd like.
Android!
I've written one exam for Android, and currently working on another. I can talk at length on it, if anyone cares to hear. So, I'm leaning towards Google API's. I'd be happy to prepare an android talk if there is interest for something more in depth.

I dont see any Android talks in Pamela's list but I'd like to get an intro to it, now that I have one.

Reading over the list on web site, the API overview (a-z) still seems like the best although it is available online. A quick look whet's my appetite.   Her "Client Killed the Server Star" is 2yrs old. I'd like to see an update on that too.

I can check with Doug Levin on the availability of his conference room at his office behind Home Depot. It has comfortable seating for 20 people plus a projector and white board.
