Event Description

In this hands-on workshop, learn to use some of the latest and greatest features in HTML5 and CSS3. The session covers using new tags in HTML for better accessibility and forms, creating and embedding video & SVG files, using transitions and animations in CSS3,  making a web app work offline, and optimizing a web app for the mobile environment.

Prerequisites: Some experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Pamela Fox works in Google Developer Relations, helping developers learning how to use Google APIs and new web technologies. She started on the Maps API, spent a year on the Wave APIs, and now does a little bit of everything. Before Google, she graduated from the University of Southern California with her bachelors and masters in Computer Science, with minors in 3D animation and linguistics.

This workshop sounds really interesting! We are lucky to have multiple Googlers doing classes at UH this year.
