This Security+ course is taught with a practical approach to prepare you for the certification exam and for skills required on the job. You will apply general security concepts to real world scenarios, identify potential security risks, and learn about communications and infrastructure security which includes monitoring activity and intrusion detection, implementing and maintaining a secure network, and hardening the network and environment. Basic concepts of cryptography are reviewed including algorithms, digital signatures, PKI certificates, and policies and procedures. Operational and organizational security issues such as documentation, disaster recovery, physical security, and others are also part of this course.
