Sound within the Silence: Deep Vibrations in Kona
Milton Garces has been listening to the inaudible for 20 years, using infrasound to study volcanoes while at UCSD/Scripps, Univ. of Alaska, and Univ. of Kyoto. He is founding director of the Infrasound Laboratory, University of Hawaii at Manoa, located at NELHA. At this month's presentation he will discuss events and sound sources recorded here in Kona, and what they tell us about the natural and man-made world.
