Weekend programming challenge #2 - Mathogen in AS3 on Facebook

Thanks to everyone on TechHui for all the positive feedback for my Tetris clone, Gemtris. Today I decided to take on another self-imposed programming challenge this weekend. I'm giving myself 2 days to complete an AS3 port of my iPhone game Mathogen (www.mathogen.com). I've been working on the code for months now and the scope of the project has grown exponentially. Rather than start from scratch I've decided to simplify the look of my original game and instead focus on Facebook integration. On monday morning I plan to have a fully integrated Mathogen port available to play for free on Facebook. Wish me luck!

Just posted my success with this challenge on my Tech Hui blog. Apart from a few cross domain issues, this project went very well. There were a few times when I considered throwing in the towel but I always found myself back on the computer, powering through the bugs. I'm really enjoying Flash Builder 4 but need guidance creating projects that keep the Flash IDE tightly integrated in the build process. I've been watching Jesse Freeman's videos on Flash development for Android. I'd like to discuss FB4 workflow at the Android / iOS meetup on July 7th after the presentations. I'm looking forward to the Tech Hui conference on June 26. See you there!
