I have experience programming in Java, Facelets, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, XML, C, C++, PHP, Perl, Lisp, and Prolog. In my current job I use Java EE which includes JSF, JPA, Facelets, JSP, JAX-WS, and JMS. I have also used JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and script.aculo.us. In the past I have worked with databases such as IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Some of the development tools that I have used include Eclipse, Rational Software Architect, and Visual Studio. I have worked with build tools like Ant and Maven. In terms of version control systems I have experience using SVN, CVS, Mercurial, and Git.
Currently I am a Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS) Analyst working for the Hawaii State Attorney General. My work mainly involves developing a Java EE web application using IBM's WebSphere Application Server.
I have graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In college I gained experience using Wicket as a web framework. I have completed computer science courses that included software engineering, databases, logic design and microprocessors, algorithms, networking, operating systems, and human-computer interaction. I have also taken mathematics courses up to and including Calculus IV and Linear Algebra. I am particularly interested in web development, software engineering, computer graphics, and game design. Some of my school projects involved the development of Devcathlon and work on the Nachos OS.
I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from McKinley High School. I spent a few years working as a office clerk working on estate and tax planning. Afterwards I spent a summer editing a database for a digital e-book library.
