Data communication speed and density—especially in the urban world—are sufficient to enable projects that have clients and development staffers widely distributed. Technology is one ingredient in successful long distance consulting, but distributed team behavior and educating team members to collaborate across time zones and long distances are equally important. Managing distributed projects has its own special challenges.
