Question kept coming up asking about Hong Kong's Changed over to China in 1997. The book by Lu Ping who represented China to negotiate with Britain on "The Return of Hong Kong" is an excellent book to read. He has many good friends in Hawaii and come here often http://www.facebook.com/notes/johnson-choi/lu-ping-the-return-of-ho...

There are people within UH and College of Business that from time to time contact us for collaboration and meeting our members, most of them are SMEs with businesses in Asia. Those are based on personal contacts and not in any organised manners.

May be we can develop a platform to do it?

Hawaii's impact and influence upon executive leadership in China should not be minimized. This morning I got to meet a second group of some 40 execs in from Harbin for a few days of intensive education at the UH's Shidler College of Business.

This is bridge building and relationship development at a very important level. It is just unfortunate that more of our private sector cannot be pulled into these events at the UH.

I was conducting a program called "Working Better with Americans" and there were a lot of questions at the end on how could they hook up with small and medium-sized U.S. businesses. Perfect for Hawaii.
