Event Description

jQuery is a small JavaScript library that makes development of HTML-based client JavaScript fun and easy. With jQuery you can easily make Ajax calls, and add interaction and effects to your websites. This class covers the basic concepts and fundamentals to get you started with jQuery development.

 

For the past decade Scott Murphy, VP of Interactive Design at Ikayzo, has played a pivotal role in the design and implementation of cutting edge web applications for major players in the US and Japan. Scott has worked in interactive design and technical capacities on projects for Nomura Securities, Hyatt Corporation, Watabe Wedding, DFS Group, High Tech Development Corporation, Komazawa University, University of Hawaii, Hawaii Tourism Authority sponsored projects and Hawaii's largest Japanese informational site, Hawaii-arukikata.com.

Looking forward to this class!  I tried to take it last term.  JavaScript is becoming a bigger and bigger part of web design, so looking to learn how jQuery can make the process smoother.
