HSDC Talk Story: HSDC SSBCI Program Overview to Deploy $13 million into HI Investment Community

The Box Jelly, StartupHui and HSDC are hosting a talk story evening at The Box Jelly on Aug 10, 2011 at 6pm to discuss HSDC's recently announced venture capital investment program. This will be an opportunity for entrepreneurs to provide input on where investment capital is needed and learn about the various investment models HSDC is considering.

The Hawaii Strategic Development Corporation (HSDC) has been allocated $13 million by the U.S. Department of Treasury's State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) to invest in Hawaii businesses through HSDC's venture capital fund of funds investment program.

HSDC would like to identify opportunities to invest in qualified venture capital funds or investment entities that have the skills and capabilities to develop and mentor Hawaii-based technology companies and network them into the national and international venture capital markets. Please review the attached documents for a description of
the investment program.
