TechHui

Hawaii's Science, Technology and New Media Community

Aloha from Tokyo,

We are enjoying a healthy diet of sushi and cube melons :-) Its been a busy month on TechHui! We are up to 450 members and many new members are active in the forums. Its been great to see all the activity from UH professors and students, in particular Professor Philip Johnson and UH grad Aaron Kagawa. Make sure to check out their upcoming Top Coder competition.

Other upcoming events include the Jelly Coworking Group, Launch a Startup in a Weekend, Manoa Geeks, E-Waste Disposal Day and Podcamp Hawaii. The Podcamp folks are looking for speakers, sponsors and attendees. If you are interested please contact Roxanne Darling.

Is Hawaii ready for a seed-fund incubator a la “Y-Combinator”? Join Russell Cheng & Peter Kay at Manoa Geeks for a thoughtful discussion. Follow the blog post on this topic and meet Russell and Peter if you’re interested.
