Burt, the site is not completely finished but here is a link: http://slurl.com/secondlife/University%20of%20Hawaii/189/194/22/. In it's current state it is probably better if I show people round it. I give tours of the whole island from the UH Manoa Campus Center (simultaneously in SL) every Wednesday from 1:15pm to 2:15pm. We'll do big announcements here and on aquaculturehub when it's finished.

Did you see our article: http://www.hawaii.edu/malamalama/2009/10/second-life/ - maybe we could get featured on Bytemarks one of these days? :-)

Sam, we did a show tonight about Aquaculture on Bytemarks Cafe. Benny Ron mentioned that there is a SL site for aquaculture. Can you post the SL address here?

Okay, UH SL tours officially moved to 1pm on Wednesdays. Will be running tour live from campus center, outside the coffee shop. Come to UH Manoa Campus Center to see the tour.

Hi Barbara,

I put it in the TechHui events calendar last week:

http://www.techhui.com/events/start-your-semester-right-uh

and invited all my TechHui friends. Am working on flyer for this week's publicity - will post that soon.

Sam.. Do you want to post the party information for Fri. 9/26 in here?

This looks good Barbara. Is this the first SL presence on the hawaii.edu domain? What do you have in mind for the multi-user WP? Do you see people starting up their SL blogs on the system? How does one get an account?

I was successful in getting our island a system wide domain and Jeela Ongley has helped me setup a WordPress Multi-user online editing tool to maintain our UHSL website. Right now, ITS only has a few templates available. I will be searching for a better overall theme for the page later when I have more time. I've only managed to get a couple of pages built and would welcome suggestions for additional content.

I think having a system-wide domain greatly enhances our credibility.
