Apache (64bit) with mod_python on OS X 10.5?

Anyone have luck/experience getting this combo to work? I've tried and tried, followed the online tutorials, etc trying to get Apache to use mod_python with no luck. Seems like all the flags/makefile edits I do still yields a .so file that Apache barfs on during startup .... Ugh.
