Would you trust LPS over getting open-source software from someone other than the government?

On another track: How Hackers Stole 24,000 Files From The Pentagon.  The headline is sensationalist and misleading, since it was actually a Pentagon defense contractor who got hacked.  Still, makes you wonder about their security.
