Hello from Haiku, Maui!

Please accept my apologies if this is not the appropriate forum for this kind of post.

I'm a budding drupal developer with a bit of experience and an overflow of work at the moment, with deadlines looming! I'm in search of a mentor to provide some short, effective phone support and I have a very decent budget for this kind of help. Among other projects, the most urgent one I'm working on requires role expirations, users creating and editing only certain other users, and ubercart configuration... and theming. I could do this on my own and most of it doesn't look all that hard. But I don't have time at this point to go down too many blind alleys trying different approaches. I need to start out on the path with the greatest likelihood of success.

Aloha David,
Josh Koenig of Chapter Three (http://www.chapterthree.com) actually just wrote up a page on migrating to PANTHEON:

For people with no shell familiarity, they can use phpMyAdmin for sure. Migrating a whole site is just a matter of:

A) Getting a database export
B) Moving everything from sites/(sitename) and/or sites/all/modules
C) Moving anything in the "files" directory if that wasn't done in B

You can also move the entire Drupal application directory.

Hey All, I work w/UH (RCUH) as the web developer for a few of the large Center-type grants that come through the VPoResearch's office (Gaines). We have a fledgling Drupal up on one of our virtual machines, but plan to migrate it over to ITS for better support. I've read conflicting posts on how to do so. My most recent suggestion is as follows:

"I've been informed that you can export the Drupal site on the
under-horsepowered server by exporting the website's Drupal database
using the phpMyAdmin on that server. For the modules, you would need to
move them from the old Drupal website into the 'module' folder in the
new Drupal website. Once you have the modules imported into the new
Drupal website, you'll then want to import the exported database using
the phpMyAdmin on the new server."

Does anyone see a problem w/this approach? Anything else I should consider?

Had an AMAZING time at #DrupalCon 2010 in San Fran. There were 3000 attendees and I had almost 300 in my class on SEO for Drupal.
