The 37th Annual Conference and Exhibition of Computer Graphics and
Los Angeles, CA
SIGGRAPH 2010 just wrapped up yesterday, Thursday July 29 in Los
Angeles. I attended it on Wednesday and Thursday, taking a VRAY
lighting class and mainly wandering the exhibition floor checking out
the latest from software companies like Autodesk and other major
graphics vendors as well as presentations by Pixar, NVIDIA, and Intel.
I also stopped by Honolulu's own PipelineFX's booth and chatted with CEO
Richard Lewis whom as the founder of HONCAD taught my colleagues and I
AutoCAD back in the day when I worked in a Honolulu architecture firm.
Also ran into a number of former visual effects co-workers who had flown
in from different parts of the world such as Taipei, London, and
