For those of you using AWS who have customers in Asia, you can finally use EC2, S3, etc. with assurances that the computational and storage resources will be in proximity to your customers:

From a recent announcement:
Amazon: We have announced plans to open an Asia-Pacific region in the first half of 2010. We are excited to enable businesses to deploy compute and storage resources in close proximity to their end-users in Asia. AWS customers will be able to access AWS's infrastructure services from Multiple Availability Zones in Singapore in the first half of 2010, then in other Availability Zones within Asia over the second half of 2010.
