Software development for Bishop Museum Exhibit

Aloha,

I’m looking for some computer science guru to help write some scripts for Bishop Museum's Science on a Sphere exhibit (which runs Redhat Linux) for use in general public and school group programming.

I’m looking for someone with the following some/all of the following skills.
Linux experience
Python, TCL/TK, shell scripting
Networking experience (network enabled applications)
Visual Basic 8

Unfortunately, there is no / very little budget on this, but it is a great opp to showcase your work to over 200,000 visitors annually.

When I first saw this exhibit I thought, "Wow, pretty neat", but then the presentation started and I realized it wasn't as neat as I had thought. Invariably, whatever feature on the globe they were talking about in the presentation was on the other side from where I was standing. So I'd move around a bit to get a better view. And then the next thing they talked about was best visible from where I just moved away from. The problem is, how do you show things on a globe, with people positioned all around it, and still have it so that everyone can see what the narrator is talking about?

You could use multiple globes. Four globes rotated to have the area of interest pointing out would do the trick.
