Event Description

with Maria Giudice

User research and establishing measurable business goals provide the platform from which we base the design. The information architecture or site-structuring phase provides a solid foundation on which the redesigned site is built. We approach each web project by first understanding users needs and business goals through research and client collaboration methods. Users are then better defined through the creation of personas and user profiles. We'll create scenarios that lead to task flows and other design artifacts such as sitemaps and page schematics/wireframes.

Maria Giudice is the CEO and Founder of Hot Studio, Inc., a San Francisco- and New York-based, experience design company dedicated to making the complex beautifully clear. Maria is considered a pioneer in the field of information architecture and was prominently featured in the 1996 book Information Architects by Richard Saul Wurman. Maria has co-authored two best-selling books about web design: Web Design Essentials and Elements of Web Design. Since 1997, Maria has lead Hot Studio's team of individuals committed to creating design systems that are both beautiful and highly functional.
