Topic: Design Thinking
Presenter: Justin Brown, Kealakehe High School
"Design Thinking" is a methodology for designing a more desirable future, whether that future is an appliance to make your coffee, a process used by a service company, or anything else. It was largely developed and popularized by Stanford University's Design School and several design firms associated with its faculty. Justin Brown, who is also a Design Thinking Coach, will introduce design thinking concepts and describe how they can be applied to the daily work of a technologist.
Justin Brown is the Career and Technical Education Coordinator for Kealakehe High School, where he also coaches its robotics program and Model United Nations team. He has bachelors's degrees in political science, music, and psychology from Texas Christian University and a MEd. in teaching from Chaminade University.
