In barely a year`s time, Android smartphones have grown to dominate the market and Android tablets are likely poised to do the same. They offer unprecedented development opportunity through a free, open source and cross-platform Applications Programming Interface and Software Development toolkit. This talk gives an overview of programming Android devices. It emphasizes concepts rather than lines of code, and should be of interest to programmers and non-programmers alike.
