Explore creative techniques in Photoshop for working with the intrigue of color and the power and depth of black and white photography. Learn tips and tricks when using various Photoshop features like Adjustment Layers, Layer Masks, Blending Modes, Layer Styles, Smart Objects and more! Topics to be covered include: controlling the color to grayscale conversion process; digital infrared conversion and cross-processing effects; hand-colored, split-toning and antique tinting techniques; hi-key glows, sepia-tones and adding digital film grain; vignettes, border and edge treatments and texture overlays.
James Fritz is an Adobe Certified Design Master and Adobe Certified Instructor. He has a bachelor of fine arts with emphasis in graphic design from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. James is an instructor and designer for C2 Graphics Productivity Solutions, a Wisconsin Adobe Authorized training center, and has also taught for the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. He has authored multiple courses for Lynda.com, written articles for InDesign Magazine & Photoshop User, and is a contributor to indesignsecrets.com.
