Nerd Hike - Hawaii Loa Ridge

I'm looking for Techhuians to join us on the Hawaii Loa Ridge trail on Saturday, Feb. 13th. I plan to go all the way to the end. It is about 5 miles round trip. Mostly it is an easy hike. However the last 1/2 mile is reputed to be very steep.

Meet at 9AM at Puuikena Park (Puuikena Drive, right turn off the Kalanianaole Highway near Niu Valley). We'll fit ourselves into the fewest possible cars to drive up the hill to the trailhead. Plan on 4 hours of hiking time. Bring lots of water and snacks/lunch.

Sunshine only - not worth doing in the rain!
