Introduction to Javascript with Scott Murphy

Learn the language of the web.  Javascript is one of the most widely used scripting languages used to create rich interactions on the web.  In this introductory course, learn the fundamentals of Javascript and explore ways to enhance static HTML websites.  Designed for people with a basic understanding of HTML/CSS but little-to-no experience of Javascript, this course covers basic topics, including variables, strings, functions, event handlers, and debugging techniques.

Prerequisite: basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Scott Murphy is VP of Interactive Design at Ikayzo, a global interactive agency based in Honolulu and Tokyo.  He has worked as a front-end developer and user experience designer for clients like Sony, Nomura Securities, PIMCO and Valuecommerce in Japan.
