Event Description

Ignite is a fast-paced geek event launched in 2006, and has since become an international phenomenon. Speakers are invited to share something they're most passionate about, but with a specific twist: they must use 20 slides, each shown for 15 seconds, giving each speaker five minutes of fame.

Ignite STEM Week is part of STEM Week Hawaii, a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in the Aloha State. A great mix of researchers and practitioners will take the stage to entertain and inspire the STEM spirit in all of us. They include:

  • Brian Shiro - Astronauts4Hire
  • Robert Mann - Forensic Anthropology
  • Chris Ostrander - Ocean Sensing
  • Sam Gon III - The Intersection of Science and Culture
  • Kim Binsted - Mealtime on Mars
  • Christie Wilcox - Science 2.0

Join us at The Greenhouse Innovation Hub in Kakaako (685 Auahi Street) on Wednesday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. Space is limited so please RSVP: http://ignitestemweek.eventbrite.com/
