Event Description

Please RSVP on EventBrite: http://hicap-webattacks.eventbrite.com/

In this talk we'll discuss the technologies used in web applications and the security attacks they are often vulnerable to. We'll perform real attacks against vulnerable example programs that the audience can also attack to test their understanding as we go.  Some basic understanding of HTML and Javascript will be assumed, but you do not need to be a web wizard to follow along.

Some of the topics we'll be covering:

  • csrf
  • sql injection
  • session guessing / forging / altering

Please bring laptops if possible because part of the talk will be in an interactive workshop style. Since this is a public event there is no entrance fee. The speaker will be Tim Newsham.

The talk will be held at The Box Jelly at 307c Kamani Street, Honolulu, HI 96813 on Nov 29, starting at 6:30pm. Parking is available at Sports Authority (owned by the same land owner). There is also street parking around the neighborhood.
