RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS - THE NON-PROFIT SECTOR APPROACH
The Hawaii Venture Capital Association will host Blue Planet Foundation founder Henk Rogers and the Foundation's ne wly appointed Executive Director, Jeff Mikulina, as speakers at their next luncheon meeting on September 25, 2008 at the Plaza Club.
Mikulina, formerly head of the Hawaii Sierra Club, recently announced his departure and will be joining Blue Planet Foundation at the end of the month. "I have worked closely with Jeff and he is the perfect person for this position. Now he will be able to concentrate his efforts on something he is very passionate about," said Henk Rogers, Blue Planet Foundation founder.
Rogers, who is known as a computer game visionary, a former Hawaii Venture Capital Association "Deal of the Year" winner and CEO of Blue Planet Software, will share his vision for the foundation which he started earlier this year and kicked off at the Blue Planet Summit. He will also show a video capsule of highlights from the summit and introduce Mikulina who will also address meeting attendees.
This is the third in a series of luncheons HVCA has ho sted on the topic of Renewable Energy. "It is clear that entrepreneurs, policy makers, the non-profit sector and all of us as individuals must strive to find and implement solutions to this escalating crisis," said Bill Spencer, President of the Hawaii Venture Capital Association.
