Kamehameha Schools is a private, educational, charitable trust founded and endowed by the legacy of a Hawaiian Princess, Bernice Pauahi Bishop. Kamehameha Schools operates a statewide educational system enrolling more than 6,500 students of Hawaiian ancestry at K-12 campuses on O'ahu, Maui and Hawai'i and over 30 preschool sites statewide. Kamehameha Schools hires over 500 employees each year, and employs over 3,000 staff members throughout the organization. 

To support our operation, Kamehameha Schools is hiring for an Instructional Technology Specialist in the Information Technology Division on our Maui Campus. The deadline to apply is: 3/13/2016. 

Summary of Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Education, Educational Technology or related field AND 3 years of classroom teaching and knowledge of technology and its integration into instruction OR a 4-year Bachelors Degree in Education, Educational Technology or related field AND 5 years of classroom teaching and knowledge of technology and its integration into instruction.
  • Strong foundation in pedagogy and teaching methodologies; Strong facilitation and communication skills; excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to design and develop curriculum integration training for faculty and ability to evaluate and recommend technology to effectively meet goals and objectives.
  • Working knowledge of Macintosh and PC systems, peripherals, software applications, Internet/Intranet and video technologies.


Division Summary: The Information Technology Division (ITD) at Kamehameha Schools, provides support to the organization and operating departments in all activities related to information technology management including: technical support applications development, systems maintenance, hardware/software solutions, security provisions, networking, planning and architecture, and instructional technologies. ITD strives to be a collaborative partner with education and business units to provide relevant and appropriate technology solutions to help the organization achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
