this is good. all international airports should be space ports. I'm not so sure of the piggy back approach. McDonald Douglas once had plans for a hydrogen passenger aircraft which would fly into orbit.

Just wake me when we can buy our flying cars.

This is great, and probably Hawaii is the most natural place for this, but should state legislature also consider improving conditions for local fishing/farming, sponsor 'green' public/private transportation, pay extra attention to 'green' energy and smart grids, revisit the impact of architecture on local environment, etc..

More tourism will put more pressure on current infrastructure, is Hawaii ready to host an influx of space-minded people, with sustainability and aloha in mind?

Iʻve always liked Gene Ward.

I can see how this might have been confusing though given the subject heʻs talking about. Gene Ward is a State Representative and not a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Bill 994 is a State bill not a U.S. Congressional Bill.
