I recently wrote to you through Hawaiian Hope, seeing if your organization would like to participate in my Google Online Marketing Challenge project for my class at the University of Hawaii. I haven't heard from you and just wondered if you had received that email. I was hoping to hear from you before March 2, as that is my deadline from the professor. If you could please let me know if you are interested? We would love to work with your organization. Thanks so much!
Just wanted to let you know that we've added some e-waste recycling events this summer. I will be updating the TechHui event section. Hope to see you and your crew!
Hi Curtis, Thanks for the note. The project we'll be starting soon is called http://www.givingpod.com/ it started because of the lack of options food banks have for fund raising. It will eventually grow into other non-profits being able to use the platform but starting with food banks.
I went to the link you sent but it was dead. Please resend.
Hi Curtis. Sorry for the late reply. Things are really crazy at work. Yes, I think it is a good time. Right now we are really slammed, but we are happy to promote the service on TechHui if you decide to build it.

Mika... remember that little project i was talkig about ? Especially now that circuit city is closing this may be the right time to do it. what you think ?
No, I'm no longer at HPU. I actually graduated right after that course. I'm currently working as a network engineer for Harris Corporation at Kaneohe Marine Corps base.
How's Hawaiian Hope going? Honestly, it was probably better that we didn't take on your project. Over half the team turned out to be flaky and didn't show up for the meetings or meet their deadlines. I don't know if it was just an epidemic of senioritis but despite opting for something a little smaller and less ambitious, the project still fell short of expectations. I guess you can't expect the best from everyone when they aren't getting paid and don't care about their grades.
Thanks Guys !
I am looking forward to meeting more techs and even some tech wannabeeee's that may be interested in learning. From reading some of the profiles on here it looks like we have a very strong tech community here in Hawaii...... Too bad most of us have operated as secret agents secluded from others for so long. I am looking forward to a lot of new collaborative projects with many of you !
Who knows... maybe all of us together can come up with some goofy way to make Hawaii completely self sufficient for energy and drop the oil thing all together ? scary what a bunch of smart people can do when left in a room together. All we need is some duct tape, Pepsi and a few large pizzas. Look out world here comes the TechHui !
