Recently I've talked to a number of tech entrepreneurs looking for an attorney to help with structuring a company or protecting their intellectual property. Its always helpful to find an attorney who has experience dealing with technology start-ups. There are a lot of attorneys in Hawaii and it can be difficult to pick the right one for your company. I've dealt with about a dozen Hawaii based attorneys for things ranging from QHTB filings to structuring a company and filing a patent. Here are a few with whom my colleagues and/or I have had positive experiences.
- Leighton Chong (808) 533-3636 - Intellectual Property
- Sayoko Blodgett Ford (808) 538-9200 - Intellectual Property
- Stewart Pressman (808) 529-7300 - Business Law, Corporate Law, Finance, M&A
- Greg Kim (808) 780-2495 - Business Law, Corporate Law, M&A, Licensing & Tech Agreements
Although I've never worked with him as an attorney, I have to mention my friend Jay Fidell as a tech savvy attorney and all around good guy :-)
Note that I am not an attorney and I am not providing legal advice. I am simply listing attorneys with whom my colleagues and/or I have had favorable experiences.
