robotic surgery

I have been interested in the subject of robotic surgery. It is really cool what can now be done with the use of robots. I wonder if this will be helpful on the Islands. Some procedures require residents to travel to other countries. This may require some form of Travel health insurance or it may be covered with current Medical insurance.
Either way, it seems that robotic surgery is an interesting topic. What do you all know about robotic surgery?
