Giving Your Pitch - Getting Support

The centerpiece of the event is an investor pitch contest, where five of the most promising ventures from the local start-up community will compete for the chance of $500,000 / crowd funding campaign ensured by Crowd Alliance.

Five contestants will be selected from open submissions submitted via mbloom, and will have 5 mins to sell their venture to the judges and general audience on that night.  Send your deck to pitches@mbloom.com no later than May 10th.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.
