- technically i'm not a "techie", but i am tech-literate enough to keep my macbook pro up and running. i'm really just an artist which, in the real world of "trying-to-make-decent-living" means i'm a designer. i used to be a "graphic designer" 'til every third person in the world it seems bought photoshop and decided that they too were "graphic designers".
fortunately i found my new creative passion in fashion design (streetwear design to be precise) after a client contracted me to design the entire debut collection for their new streetwear brand. after that contract was completed a san diego-based action sports apparel brand snatched me up after hearing about my knack for designing streetwear with a fresh look, awesome style and strong consumer appeal and asked me to give their brand some "for real" street cred.
when that project was completed i decided that, with my innate creative talent and business, marketing and promotion know-how combined with my new-found knowledge of the apparel game and the awesome industry insider contacts and solid streetwear designer rep i'd recently developed, i'd be crazy to do anything other that start my own streetwear brand.
so, to prove to everyone that i wasn't crazy, i started two streetwear brands... 808 reprazent and urbStyle.
now i'm poised on the brink of launching both brands, 808 reprazent this Fall and urbStyle in the Spring of 2009. i'm sooo ready for this.

Johnnie is one of the sickest (in a good way) graphics arts guys I know. He used to design all of the advertisements and a pile of other stuff for the Wave Waikiki. He has his own clothing line and I think that he can do photo shop even when he is in REM sleep.
