About Me:

I'm the founder of Grid.coop, an effort to get open source software developed for Smart Grid, as well as CTO for Freedom Fertilizer, a project to make sustainable nitrogen fertilizer.

I grew up on a farm in northern Iowa, pretty much the middle of the midwest mainland, and I have always wanted to have a net energy producing farm. I want to see Hawaii making all its own energy from clean, renewable, ethical sources. So now I'm working on a smart grid project for the electrical power side, and sustainable fertilizer on the agriculture side.
