I am a Technology Transactions, Licensing, IP and Internet/Ecommerce attorney at Goodsill, Anderson, Quinn & Stifel (member of both Hawaii & California State Bars). I practiced for over 6 years at the Silicon Valley law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati before moving to Honolulu and starting my own practice in November of 2007. I have a B.A. in Communication, a B.S. in Business Administration (from the University of Arizona), and a J.D. from Boston University (all Cum Laude). I draft and negotiate business deals for tech companies, focusing on the strategy, development, distribution, licensing, disposition, protection and acquisition of technology and intellectual property rights. I have represented clients involved in multiple types of software, internet/hosted services, hardware, entertainment/media industries, database services, consulting, networking, semiconductor, telecom, medical device, life sciences, biotech, retail, and audio services. I have drafted and negotiated a variety of international and domestic agreements, covering strategic alliances, marketing, confidentiality, development, licensing, advertising, distribution, services, outsourcing, open source, and manufacturing. I also have experience advising companies on privacy law including COPPA and EU compliance, sweepstakes, internet and all IP matters, including those in connection with investments, financings, asset purchases and sales, corporate re-structuring, spin-outs, and mergers and acquisitions.
