Hi Lynn, I just stumbled upon on interesting site which contained whitepapers that reminded my of your Icanology project. This site is the conference proceedings for the "Second International Workshop on Mashup Personal Learning Environments" which was held in Nice a month ago.
See:
http://sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/Publications/CEUR-WS/Vol-506/

Many of the topics pertain to aggregating and condensing information and resources for students, to enable more customized learning.

E komo mai Lynn!

The FAQ is a good place to learn about the site. You may want to join some of the interest groups such as Science & Technology Educators, Maui Co-working and Maui Techies.

We hope you find TechHui useful and invite others.

Nope, no relations on the islands (besides my girlfriend). I made my first move over about 5 years ago and now find I can't stay away for long.

Hi Lynn, you have some fascinating ideas. Your Icanology concept seems like it would fill a real education/motivation void for adolescents. I'm impressed by your insights, in a lot of ways they parallel where I see / would like to see social media go. No small task though, but would be an interesting project to see through.

I'm looking forward to see how Icanology develops - I've just subscribed to your various RSS feeds.
